GRUMPY LOREKEEPER

We were thrilled to welcome over 1,000 people to LoreKeeper over the Christmas period. One of the most common criticisms we received was, "Isn't this just like ChatGPT?" The truth is, it's not. While we use OpenAI in the chat, we employ our own Ilidorn LLM to summarize and process the content. To set ourselves apart, we designed the LoreKeeper Dragon to have an initially grumpy disposition. However, users can easily modify its settings in the World Settings. If you find the Dragon's grumpiness off-putting, feel free to adjust the settings.

In the meantime, we are planning to create a tour and tutorial to help users learn how to use LoreKeeper effectively.

SHARING IS CARING

Hearken, fellow travellers of fantastical realms and guardians of ancient tales! I come bearing tidings of great import and joyous innovation. The wise sages at LoreKeeper have woven powerful new magics into the very fabric of their creation, allowing for the sharing of your wondrous worlds as never before.

In the days of old, a Dungeon Master's lore was a solitary beacon, a lighthouse guiding only their own ship through the narrative seas. But lo! The winds of change gust through our lands, and with them, the ability to share your crafted lores with fellow storytellers and adventurers across distant shores.

These new Sharing Features, akin to the opening of doors long held shut by ancient runes, are a testament to the fellowship we all share in the grand tapestry of storytelling. With a mere incantation (or, as the LoreKeeper artisans call it, a "click"), your creations can now be shared with trusted allies, allowing them to gaze upon your world, to be inspired by your vision, and to contribute to the ever-growing legend.

Imagine, if you will, the Mines of Moria, its secrets and passages known only to a select few. Now, envision the doors of Durin flung wide, inviting collaboration and communal exploration. Such is the power of these new Sharing Features. Your meticulously crafted settlements, your bravest heroes, and your most nefarious villains can now be part of a grander narrative, shaped not by one, but by the many who journey alongside you.

Just ironing out the kinks…

400 PEOPLE

Exciting news in two ways, last night we hit 400 people using LoreKeeper, and to celebrate we totally broke the server this morning by fiddling with our SSL Certs! Ooooh nooo…

Hold on tight, we will have it back in up in “whenever DNS bloody tells us it will update”.
Rookie Error.

However on the back of this, we are about to launch our most significant updates in the last month Sharing. But more of that to come.

EARLY ACCESS

So, it’s working, it uploads, it spins off rules and descriptions based on your Lore, it counts credits. This week we are going to invite and contact all those that signed up for Early Access, give you some freebie credits and let you have a go on it. We need your feedback, we need your bug reports, we are a small indie team on limited resources so know we aren’t perfect please.

But i have just had a few days off, of talking about and looking at what we made, come back with fresh eyes. And I’m pretty proud. It is simple, it doesn’t have graphics, it is a mind, an aid, a tool of words. We are building the basis of shiny things. It isn’t artificial intelligence it is gaming intelligence, it is a tool for your organic intelligence to save time. It is a Game Master’s Assistant. Maybe the first one that is to ever be launched. Reminds me of Gary Gygax’s book “Role Playing Mastery” that sat on my shelf for years.

MCM COMIC CON

Ok… we booked a stall. In the TTRPG Zone, going to spend the weekend playing RPG’s and inviting you all to play with us, and use the LoreKeeper. Now how to decorate it… 9 metres square.

Going to be an intense few days I think. It’s a bit intense at the best of times, let along trying to launch your own indie biz to the biggest amass of nerds in the UK. Just read their website, they have quiet corners… Thank F8”K for that..

When?

One thing through the entire of this project, is when to tell people, when to show people, when to share the info on what we working on. Want it to be fresh, but not so that someone can over take us with bigger resource. We are indie devving and bootstrapping this out.

But made some really cool tools.

And now actually got it all working… At what point do again, when to invite everyone in. As to some it might look like a house with wiring all exposed and the you can see the pipes. But to others! Wow a house… Well done you made a whole new house.

Be a Part of the LoreKeeper Journey: We Need Beta Testers!

Greetings, fellow adventurers! After many brainstorming sessions, design iterations, and coding marathons, we've successfully completed our Alpha testing phase.

The Team is now testing, working on those glitches. But now, it's time for us to take a giant leap forward, and we need your assistance. We're looking for Beta testers.

We're extending an invitation for you to join us on this thrilling journey and help us fine-tune LoreKeeper. We need you to dive into our platform, explore its many features, and embark on a bug hunt.

Your feedback will be instrumental in helping us create a tool that is not only sturdy and dependable, but also user-friendly and intuitive. We are going to be implementing the Bug Hunt feature on our official discord over here… When that goes up, means we probably going to start opening the doors.

DEV CHARTER

What is this? Well from the moment we came up with this idea, we thought if we are lucky enough to make this little business work. And it turns a profit and people turn up to support us. We should support indie gamers that are trying to get their books and stuff into print.

Walking around GameCon in 2023. In fact any convention for years, this is where you turn up and pimp the random ass vision you had on cowboys vs car wars vs cthulhu. This is where the fun is had. Anyway we had this idea of a Development Charter, to stick 5% of profit from day 1 into a fund to build up indie developers. If this all works out, will make a council that can distrobute that fund that acts independently of us.

Anyway all a mute point at the moment because we bootstrapping this from our own day jobs.
But we did book MCM COMIC CON October. SO! WE HAVE A STALL. Let’s get out and stick our idea into the world.

Meanwhile let me write a Indie Development Charter… IDC? Sounds boring must be a better acronym then that.

STICKERS ARRIVED

I love stickers. Love them. For many years been frustrated by clients or companies that would want stickers, and do a MAXIMUM NUMBER OF STICKERS FOR MINIMUM money. The minimal viable product of sticker. BUT this doesn’t make a good sticker does it ? It makes thousands of shit stickers that are worth nothing. When all you want is ONE AWESOMELY GOOD VINYL STICKER.

So… with that mind, we got some awesomely good vinyl printed stickers made. Sign up and will send you some until our stamps run out.
